Alterian politics is arcane and shrouded in
history, however some things are clear such as the fact it has not changed its political views since the great beginning (destruction
of Promethium republic) or so they say. The system incorporated is very similar to that of the imperium of man, with a Leader
in command of everything, humanities being the god-emperor, beneath the alterian emperor is the system lords much like the
imperial system lords in most respects apart from there governing is on a galactic scale. Under these are the High Lords,
which run the day-to-day operations of each galaxy. Under the command of the High Lords are all other members of the empire,
armies, fleets and civilians all fall under the high lords direct control.

System Lords
System lords are members of the Alterian war council
and rulers of several galaxies, they make sure that the High Lords are kept inline and also relay sector info to the Warmaster,
this information includes recruitment levels, supplies, fleet status etc. the System Lords literally have trillions of men
under there control and are only kept inline by the Warmaster.
War council
The war council is the ultimate power in
the universe thirteen men each one with trillions of troops under their command and inexhaustible fleets. The twelve System
Lords on the council relay tactical info on their systems and suggest future plans involving the movement of trillions. Unlike
the emperor of mankind’s high lords of terra the System Lords do not make the final decisions, that is left to the warmaster
himself who sits at the head of the council, he decides which stratiges should be used, he alone controls the whole Alterian
Empire.
