10 billion years before the cold dark future of 40k, a race of beings similar to the imperials of the Coldian Galaxy (milky-way) begin to form an empire built from the ashes of there decimated galaxy (Promethius). The 10,000 year war began because of two greedy Alterians whos thurst fore battle overcame there control and the bitter war began. At the time the Promithium republic ruled as a democracy, all species Alterian and alien prospered under the banner of peace. But unrest was beginning to form in the republic, many Alterians where started to despise the peace and friendliness to aliens. The Alterians split into three governments, the Promethius republic, the hands of Kaltherian and the Fangar movement. The two radical parties that apposed the republic slaughtered everything nothing was left undamaged the galaxy burned. the republic called on all the alien races for support and the republic began slowly to crush the revolution, but it was not enough the radicals seeing there impending doom united together to form the Alterian empire. within a 100 years of the alliance nothing was left alive apart from the Alterian empire, even there homeworld Altma prime didn't survive in the last moments of the war the fleets of both sides clashed over the Alterians homeworld. Millions of ships, lancing death over the republics fleet and the world behind.

And there 350 years later the artificial planet of Altmer prime II was constructed and the Alterians quest begins....................
